As of September 21, there was no credible reporting establishing that Zelenskyy had been killed. On the contrary, Ukrainian and international reporting showed him publicly addressing the overnight attacks.

Reuters also reported that Zelenskyy met CIA Director John Ratcliffe during a stop in Ireland while traveling to New York for the United Nations General Assembly. False reports surrounding the deaths of political leaders are a recurring feature of wartime information campaigns.
